Sides: Actor Line Rehearsal is developed by Ethan Blatt. Sides 2.0 does not collect personal data from your use of the app. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, analytics, or app telemetry.

Your rehearsal data

Sides processes imported PDFs, scripts, voice recordings, and transcripts on your device to build scenes, generate cue audio, follow your lines, and prepare rehearsal reports. It does not send this content to the developer or model providers.

Saved scripts, preferences, and recorded takes remain on your device until you remove them or delete the app. Replacing a take may retain the previous take for undo. Temporary rehearsal recordings are deleted after successful report processing or closing the rehearsal; a failed report may retain them for retry. Sides removes abandoned report recordings on its next launch.

You can delete scripts and recorded lines in Sides, and remove generated audio and downloadable resources in Settings. Deleting the app removes its local data. The developer has no server copy to access or delete.

Permissions and Apple services

Sides requests microphone and Speech Recognition permission for recording and live line matching. Speech recognition runs on device. You can withdraw either permission in iOS Settings.

Apple delivers the voice models during installation and updates, or downloads them again if needed. iOS may also download speech-recognition resources. These requests do not contain your scripts or recordings. Apple’s delivery and system services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

For privacy questions or support, email ethanablatt@gmail.com. If you choose to email, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments to respond to your request. Your email provider and the developer’s email provider process that correspondence. The developer deletes support correspondence once the request is resolved. You can also request its deletion by emailing the same address.

Earlier versions

Sides 1.0 downloads voice models from Hugging Face rather than Apple. These requests identify model files and do not contain your scripts or recordings. Hugging Face and its delivery providers may receive technical request data, including your IP address. Their use and retention of that data are governed by Hugging Face’s privacy policy. Sides does not use these requests for tracking.
